Multiguard

Multiguard is built for existing 80mm/100mm underground hydrants already installed in large numbers by water authorities. It fits inside a Sn1/Pn4 225mm PVC thin-wall pipe and pushes on over the top of the spring hydrant. No main shutdown required, and no digging.

The Pn4 225mm PVC stormwater pipe is not included. ACTEW (Icon Water) is currently running a trial, and expects to install approximately 300 units a year once complete.

A white variant of Multiguard also fits the odd older hydrant types that run larger than the newer blue-coated hydrants.
