Valveguard

Valveguard fitted to a valve
Valveguard ant barrier held in hand

Valveguard is an ant barrier device for valve wells. It is well known that ants deposit soil in the bottom of a valve well, building their nests vertically until the cavity is filled. A newly installed valve access well can be filled with soil in as little as 2 to 3 months.

Restricted access to a valve can result in property damage while trying to shut the main down.

Valveguard provides a physical barrier between the valve and the bottom of the well, preventing ants from transporting soil upwards. It's manufactured from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) for strength and flexibility, and can be fitted in new installations or retrofitted without interrupting water supply.
